Our church family meets in North Alton, with opportunities for worship, learning, and fellowship for every age. There are weekly Sunday morning worship services, monthly Country/Gospel music programs, youth programs including Awana, a weekly Bible study group, and a monthly Funtimers Club.
About the Pastor
Vipin Joseph
Pastor, Alton Baptist Church
(Licensed Minister with the Eastern Valley Baptist Association and is currently pursuing ordination through the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada)
We are delighted to welcome Vipin Joseph as Pastor of Alton Baptist Church. Having joined our church family in May 2026, he brings a deep love for Christ, a passion for God's Word, and a heart for serving people.
Originally from India, Vipin comes from a third-generation pastoral family with a rich heritage of Christian ministry. In 2023, he moved to Canada to pursue theological studies and recently completed his Master of Divinity at Acadia Divinity College. During his studies, he served as a Mentored Ministry Student at Wolfville Baptist Church, the oldest active Baptist church in Canada, where he gained valuable experience in preaching, discipleship, and pastoral leadership.
Before entering pastoral ministry, Vipin served in leadership roles within the technology sector and nonprofit organizations, experiences that have shaped his thoughtful, practical, and people-centered approach to ministry. He is passionate about biblical preaching, Christian apologetics, and helping people develop a vibrant and confident faith in Jesus Christ.
Vipin is married to Achsah John, and together they are blessed with two daughters, Elianah and Eliorah.
